SD3 IMPLEMENTATION/UPGRADE METHODOLOGY

It is extremely important that a Business Intelligence implementation methodology is repeatable, scalable and adaptable. In order to achieve success in Business Intelligence you must ensure that that your solution is not merely viewed and executed as a reporting solution but is designed to answer key business questions and empower your organization to make sound business decisions based upon trusted data. Our four-step Business Intelligence implementation/upgrade methodology, SD3, is an agile, scalable, focused, efficient and cost-effective implementation approach that guarantees an open and candid dialogue during all phases. The methodology is designed to encourage strong client involvement every step of the way. SD3 will establish a strong project management foundation to help deliver your project on time, in scope and within budget.

Our methodology includes audits on an interim basis within and at the end of each phase. These allow for optimal resource planning, review of deliverables, risk management and approval of plans to proceed.

Phase I - Strategy and Planning

  • Refine the scope of the project - ensure project goals map to corporate goals
  • Project management principals implemented
  • Key strategies developed
  • Establish project management team
  • Develop project plan and project charter
  • Identify assigned resources, deliverables and timing of the key deliverables

Phase II - Definition and Design

  • Create blueprint of future business processes and technical infrastructure

  • Compare delivered Oracle BI functionality to organization's business requirements
  • Analyze requirements against a reporting solution vs. a business intelligence solution

Phase III - Develop
