Naomi,

Don't think you're missing anything.

As I see it, 9.1 ePerf/eLearning is available now, and Fusion apps are still TBD in terms of GA and will require a heavy IT ecosystem change to roll out and configure. If you're a PSFT shop and you are in need of the functionality that ePerformance and eLearning 9.1 offer, you are able to get delivered retrofitted integrations to your core HCM stuff running v9.0. It's a matter of the path of least resistance.

But to your point, there's no doubt that Fusion apps and SaaS have a marked advantage in many ways, but they represent a new technology, platform and set of internal/organizational politics to get moving. In addition, they may also require an extensive evaluation process and executive approvals. If you're a PSFT shop now and need the advantages of some 9.1 functionality right away, you've already got the momentum you need. If you are tempted by the allure that SaaS solutions have to offer then evaluating that option makes sense. Or if you are able to wait until Fusion is out and proven, you can then move in that direction if it’s right for you. Otherwise, utilizing the functionality of some 9.1 solutions without having to upgrade is a very viable option.

Thx for your comment.

Delighted to see that Oracle has made good progress against these commitments. But with wonderful new Fusion talent management apps "just around the corner," and with promised (or at least perceived) ease of integration of Fusion HCM apps with PeopleSoft HCM, why would PeopleSoft customers roll out these new PeopleSoft talent applications (even if integration is a snap, it still takes a little effort of roll-out new capabilities in a none-SaaS environment), when many of them believe they'll be able to do as simple an integration/roll-out with Fusion talent applications? What am I missing here?
