Enabling customers to maximize their investment in Oracle’s PeopleSoft applications, Oracle announced that PeopleSoft Human Capital Management 9.2, PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 and Supply Chain Management 9.2will be generally available Friday, March 22, 2013. Not since the release of PeopleTools 8.53 has the PeopleSoft community been so abuzz with anticipation. The new functionality and upgrades seem to be exactly what the ERP market has been waiting for and will position PeopleSoft for growth and upgrade opportunities. MIPRO Consulting will continue to keep a watchful eye; reading, digesting, and cataloging all salient information being released by Oracle for your consumption. MIPRO was asked by Oracle to take part in pre-release testing in January 2013. Our consultants and leadership team logged over 200 hours testing more than 135 menu items for functionality in the Supply Chain Management (SCM), Human Capital Management (HCM) and Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) modules; with a particular focus on ALM. Oracle published Release Value Propositions (RVP) for both the core HCM product and FSCM during the summer of 2012. Both RVP’s were detailed and lengthy; chock full of exciting new features and options. Current customers and partners can download the 9.2 RVP’s. Start in the PeopleSoft Apps Strategy blog using this link. MIPRO’s functional experts read each of the RVP’s cover-to-cover & we published executives summaries of each in late 2012; links to which are listed in the Quick Links section. Oracle published Cumulative Feature Overviews (aka CFO’s), for PeopleSoft 9.2 in November 2012. Developed in an Excel spreadsheet format, the CFO’s enables you to quickly understand the major changes that have occurred across multiple releases for any give product. The CFO provides a list of these changes for all releases since PeopleSoft 8.9 with detailed descriptions.
